North 43rd Renovation

This project was about updating and opening space. It is a small 900 square foot, 3 bedroom 1 bathroom rambler that was in desperate need for an update. We were thoughtful and considerate of how to make this home more functional for the future homeowners.

Our plan was to open up the kitchen and create continuous space by running laminate flooring in all spaces other than the bathroom. We installed a large pantry and wrapped the refrigerator with plenty of storage space for food and decorations,  which can be a challenge with smaller spaces. We installed white cabinets with beautiful granite countertops and backsplash that definitely makes an incredible first impression. The kitchen layout was opened to dining and living room to create more space for entertainment.

We installed a laundry closet off the kitchen and moved the washer and dryer from the garage to create a more functional space.

The bathroom was updated with a new tub with full tile surround and a new two sink vanity with plenty of counter top space. We focused on a bright and clean feel for the bathroom. To accomplish this feeling we were going for, we added a larger vanity, removed a hall closet, and added to the bathroom so that space could be utilized for the vanity.

In the end, we accomplished what we had hoped. A brighter home with plenty of lighting, gray tones that are more modern and an open floor space that makes the house feel larger. It’s the perfect home for a family looking for one level living!
