Andy and Kristina loved their 108-year-old craftsman; but with their young family, they wanted a home that felt more spacious and bright. They were excited by the prospect of renovating so that they could host holiday dinners and family reunions.

For this Puyallup renovation, we completely gutted the interior of the house – replacing the walls, floors and subfloors, and even relocating an entire stairway.

We also removed a wall that ran down the center of the home, opening up the dining and living areas for those family gatherings.

The stairway that led to the second floor was originally located in the middle of the house, but the stairwell was low-ceilinged and cramped, making it difficult to navigate. We moved those stairs to the entryway and created a wide, spacious stairwell leading to a cozy landing where Andy and Kristina’s kids can play or do their homework.

We even added an adjoining bathroom to the upstairs master bedroom, and an additional bathroom on the first floor.

After three months of work, our clients had a bright, spacious house that felt brand new! We’re so glad we could help them change the way they live.

Client Testimony

“After meeting with Chris and Mitzi it was clear that they were the best choice for our remodel. What we appreciated most was that they listened to our ideas and took time to explore options that still allowed us to stay within our budget. The project was well-managed, on-budget, and on schedule. They made our vision come true and transformed our house into a home that we are truly proud of. We are pleased with the end result and blessed to have worked with Gordon T Jacob and highly recommend them.”
