The North 39th project gave us the opportunity to take a single property in North Tacoma and reimagine what it could become.
At the front of the lot, we completed a full remodel of the existing home—transforming it from a modest, dated house into a refreshed and thoughtfully updated residence. Inside and out, every detail was considered to bring new life to the home while maintaining a sense of warmth and livability.
Behind the main home, we developed two new ground-up residences. While these homes function as Detached Accessory Dwelling Units (DADUs) under Tacoma’s current code, this property was designed so that each home can be sold individually.
The result is a single lot that now offers three distinct homes, each with its own identity and purpose.
This approach allowed us to thoughtfully increase housing density without compromising on design or quality. Each residence was built with the same level of care, creating cohesive yet independent living spaces that feel intentional from front to back.
North 39th represents a meaningful step forward for our team and the type of work we’re continuing to pursue—projects that not only transform homes, but also create new opportunities for homeownership in Tacoma.
