Steele Street Duplexes | Tacoma, WA

This is one of our favorite middle housing projects to date! Located in the heart of Tacoma’s 6th Avenue neighborhood, these homes offer more than just beautiful design. With shops, restaurants, and everyday amenities nearby, the walkability makes this an ideal location for renters.

The project began with a double-frontage lot, which can present unique challenges when it comes to site planning. We saw an opportunity to make the most of the property, creating six duplexes with a total of 12 thoughtfully designed units. Each unit offers 500 square feet, with one bedroom and one bathroom.

These homes are built from our Kandle DADU plan, proving how a well-designed plan can create new housing opportunities in the right location.
