We absolutely loved converting this garage into a DADU in Tacoma. Our client owned a duplex with a detached garage on the lot. Since the garage wasn’t adding much value, he decided to put it to better use. Rather than letting it sit largely unused, he wanted to transform it into an additional unit to boost his passive income.

We were able to seamlessly frame in the garage door, keep the original foundation, framing, and roof, and turn this once-forgotten garage into a quaint and livable home.

The finished space includes a spacious kitchen with a functional island, an open-concept living and dining area, a comfortably sized bathroom with a tub/shower insert and stackable washer and dryer, and a private bedroom with a generous closet.
