The Story Behind Marion’s Place

The Story Behind Marion’s Place

We’re thrilled to unveil our latest ADU project, a garage conversion with a special backstory. Our clients’ mother, Marion, who had been widowed and lived far away, sought to move closer to family in Washington. While staying with her son and daughter-in-law was a temporary solution, Marion longed for her own space and independence.

Enter the ADU. We transformed their three-car garage into a charming 1-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom home, complete with a full kitchen, walk-in closet, and a spacious living area. This new space not only offers Marion a beautiful home of her own but also allows her to be near family whenever she wishes.

Explore the unique and stunning finishes Marion selected for her new abode. It’s truly a perfect blend of independence and family connection.

Notice the subtle tones of green throughout her home.

The addition of the gas fireplace adds an extra layer of homeyness.

We added a few ADA features when designing her home, keeping in mind that she will be aging in place and have everything she could ever need.

We were overjoyed to work with this family! It was an honor to build out a multigenerational living space for them and become friends in the process.

If you envision something similar for your family, please reach out today for a free consultation!
