Paint

It’s all about first impressions! First impressions are not only important at a job interview, they’re also incredibly important when you are ready to sell your home. The paint color and condition of the paint is one of the first things a potential buyer notices. Not only does a fresh coat of paint appeal to buyers, but when caulking has been done with the painting, it helps prevent water intrusion.  The average price to paint the exterior of a home is $2000 with about a 90% return on investment.

Fiber Cement Siding

Fiber cement siding was introduced 25 years ago and is a mix of wood pulp and portland cement. Cement siding will not only make your home look great, but it is also very durable with minimal upkeep. It’s fire, rot, and termite proof. Fiber cement siding costs more than other vinyl siding, but is worth the investment. Experts at HGTV say fiber cement siding gives a 103 percent return on investment.

Front Door

If you have been following our journey on social media for a while now, you know we love a beautiful and sometimes colorful front door! Not only does beautiful front door make a statement, they can also increase the value of your home. Your front door doesn’t have to have a pop of color to get a good return on your investment. A quality, solid door, whether colorful or stained wood, stand out to buyers. This increases value and can get you about a 102 percent return assuming you spend about $1200 on the front door.

Fenced Yard

A fenced yard can bring you a 100 percent return on your investment! A wood fence not only is worth the investment, but it also adds security to your property. Now, we’re not referring to a chain link fence. A chain link fence will not bring you the same return or the same sense of security. But a wood fence is what will provide you with the return and security that you and future buyers are looking for.
